What is kaishi

Kaishi paper has a history of being used in Japan for more than
1000 years. Its absorbency and thickness makes it well- suited
for various uses such as writing, handkerchief and tissue paper.
Until about 100 years ago, it was used in daily life. Recently,
however, more various kinds of paper such as copy paper or
tissue paper spread widely and rapidly all over Japan, and
kaishi has been used only in special occasions such as Sado
(Japanese tea ceremony).

Tsujitoku kaishi

Kaishi, which has many uses in a very elegant style should be
recognized once again in our daily life. That is what we think-
and so, "Tsujitoku" brand has been founded with the purpose
of reviving the good old Japanese tradition. In developing the
new style of kaishi, we incorporated modern designs as well
as traditional ones so that it fits our daily life.
